Re: ACCS Guidelines on the Use of Social Media in Schools and JCT School Leadership Workshops

  1. The ACCS ICT Sub-committee has compiled a set of guidelines for schools to support school leaders in establishing good practice in the area of managing social media and school devices. See attached ‘ACCS Guidelines on the Use of Social Media in Schools’.

  2. ACCS is encouraging all school leaders to attend the upcoming JCT School Leadership Workshops which commence on Tuesday 19th of March and continue until Thursday 9th of May nationwide. Registration is via www.jctregistration.ie. The focus of this workshop is on Student Centred Strategic Planning and it addresses the following:

  • Curriculum Planning which is needs and context driven.

  • Planning for the school’s wellbeing programme.

  • Implications for schools in circular 79/2018.

  • Deepening our Understanding of the Classroom Based Assessments.

  • Planning the Classroom Based Assessment calendar for 2019/2020 and beyond.

  • Leading and managing curriculum change in your school.
