Grievance Procedure

A Grievance and Disciplinary procedures for Special Needs Assistants in recognised primary and post-primary schools is outlined in DES CL 72/2011.

It is recommended that every school should endeavour to ensure that relationships between staff and management are such that informal solutions to problems are the norm. The formal Grievance Procedures should be used only in circumstances in which informal resolution of problems is not possible.
