Allocation of Caretaking Staff

Caretaking staff are allocated to Community and Comprehensive Schools by the Department of Education on the basis of the number of students enrolled in the school. Prior approval must be obtained from the Department of Education for all appointments to the caretaking staff. The filling of such posts is subject to the current moratorium of appointments in the public service.
