Re: Freedom of Information request received from REGRET.
ACCS is aware that schools have received a Freedom of Information request from REGRET. ACCS wishes to advise schools of the following:
Community and Comprehensive Schools are not subject to Freedom of Information requests.
The HSE operate national vaccination programmes. The operation of the ‘HSE Post-Primary School Vaccination Programme for the 2018/2019 school year’ is detailed in Department of Education and Skills CL 0045/2018.
Please note:
The operation of the HSE Post-Primary School Vaccination Programme is a matter for the HSE and all relevant queries should be redirected to the HSE.
Indemnity for any future liability arising from the role which schools currently undertake in the school vaccinations is a matter which would be addressed by the HSE and/or the Department of Health.
Should schools require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact ACCS.
