Invitation to attend an ACCS Webinar on Friday 15th January

Invitation for Chairpersons, Secretary Boards of Management, Principals and Deputy Principals to attend an ACCS Webinar on managing and leading the learning environment remotely over the next number of weeks.

This webinar, hosted by ACCS, will provide another opportunity for Community & Comprehensive school leaders to meet Richard Galvin and the Tara 365 Learning Team as they share advice and strategies on hybrid/remote learning with schools. (The team presented a similar webinar on the topic to a wider audience last Thursday and Friday afternoons.)

The webinar is scheduled to take place on Friday 15th January 2021 (10.00 a.m. – 11.00 a.m.) and will be facilitated on the ZOOM platform. Please register at the link provided below:

The webinar will be presented by Richard Galvin and will start with a presentation for 45-50 minutes followed by a discussion with those present. (Richard Galvin has been a Post Primary Teacher, Director (Principal) of 2 European Schools in Belgium, recently retired Inspector from the Department of Education and now working as an educational consultant with Tara 365 Learning)

Richard’s presentation will include tips and advice for school leaders on delivering effective communications and online learning over the coming weeks. His ideas are based on Irish and international research into online schooling earlier in 2020, and his own experience from two months evaluating live online classes and the quality of school management response in the Middle East during May and June 2020.

This webinar is part of the ACCS series of webinars supporting school leaders in developing best practices in blended and online learning in our schools. Previous webinars include Leading in Uncertain Times with Dr. Joe O Connell and the Teach Nimble webinars/workshops facilitated by H2Learning in August 2020.
