Appointment of Áine O’Sullivan as ACCS General Secretary

The ACCS Executive is pleased to announce the appointment of Áine O’Sullivan as ACCS General Secretary from the 1st of September 2024.

Áine has served as Assistant General Secretary of the Association since September 2017, following her tenure as Principal of Ashbourne Community School. She will take over as General Secretary upon the retirement of John Irwin on the 31st of August 2024.

Bringing a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and management, Áine has been a driving force in numerous areas of educational development and policy. Her extensive expertise will be invaluable as she steps into her new role with the ACCS.

We extend our best wishes to Áine as she leads the ACCS forward, continuing the great work established by previous General Secretaries and Executive Committees.
