ACCS CONVENTION 2021,

The Galmont Hotel & Spa, Lough Atalia Road, Galway.

In accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association of ACCS, I wish to notify all Member Boards that the Thirty-Ninth Annual Convention is proposed to take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the 10th, 11th and 12th March 2021 in The Galmont Hotel & Spa, Lough Atalia Road, Galway and to invite submission of nominations for the Presidency and motions/resolutions for Convention 2021. The Convention is due to commence on Wednesday evening and conclude on Friday afternoon. 

(While it is the preference to have an in-person Convention this is clearly subject to change during these Pandemic times. At all times ACCS will operate within Government Guidelines and Restrictions). 

Member Boards are asked to take particular note of the following:-

1.   (a) Resolutions/motions and/or nominations for the Presidency must reach the above office not later than 10th December, 2020. 

      (b) In formulating resolutions/motions, regard should be had to the attached ACCS Policy Objectives (revised and updated November 2020).            

(c)  It is requested that where possible Member Boards limit themselves to not more than three resolutions/motions.

 2..         10th January, 2021 - Draft agenda of business and nominations for Presidency - including resolutions/motions - to be issued to Member Boards and Executive members; amendments invited.

3.         10th February, 2021 - Deadline for submission of amendments to resolutions/motions.

4.         24th February, 2021 - Final agenda to be issued to delegates and to the Secretary, Board of Management.

5.         10th March 2021 - Opening of ACCS Convention 2021.

In the event that Government Covid restrictions do not allow Convention to proceed as planned, member Boards will be notified of alternative arrangements.
