ACCS is seeking a Clerical Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the management team at ACCS Head Office.

The Association of Community & Comprehensive Schools (ACCS) is the professional management body which supports, advises, and represents community & comprehensive schools on all matters relating to school management.
The organisation is now seeking a Clerical Assistant to join the Administration team on a 12-month fixed term contract. It is a full-time role based at ACCS Head Office, 10H Centrepoint Business Park, Oak Drive, Dublin 12.

The role:
The Clerical Assistant will play an important role in providing secretarial and administrative support to the management team at ACCS Head Office.
The Clerical Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the management team under the direction of the Senior Administrator.
Deal with telephone, email and other communications involving ACCS business.
Assist the Senior Administrator with the preparation of monthly and annual accounts for the Association (invoices, receipts, member subscriptions, online payments, cheques, customer statements etc.).
Assist with the preparation of documentation for the end of year audit.
Assist in the preparation of information for dissemination to schools, (Information Bulletins, notices of Continuous Professional Development events, registration links, reminders, follow-up emails) and other communications on behalf of the management team.
Assist the team in the preparation of information for dissemination to Sub-Committee and Forum Members (agendas, registration links, reminders, follow-up emails) and other communications on behalf of the Secretariat.
Support colleagues in relation to preparation for events, conferences and ACCS Convention. Attend events and conferences and assist with registration, exhibitors, and other duties.
Update and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
Assist with the organisation and preparation for ACCS in-house meetings.
Any other duties or projects as determined by the Senior Administrator or General Secretary.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the role:
1 to 3 years’ experience in an administrative/secretarial capacity.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge and experience of accounts software package(s) is desirable but not essential.
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the person appointed will be communicating with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders.
Salary:
Grade III Clerical Officer Salary Scale (current scale €25,102 - €41,090), depending on experience.
Hours of Work:
The normal working week will be Monday to Friday with normal working hours from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., but flexibility may be required from time to time.
The ACCS office is accessible via public transport but more conveniently by car. Free on-site parking is available.
