ACCS: Follow-up from Briefing for Boards of Management and School Leaders – 26th October 2023

As referenced during the presentation, please also see attached the HR presentation and the Leave Summary Sheets for Teachers and SNAs. It is a good idea to check these regularly on the ACCS website as these are amended each time there are any new changes to leave types etc.
Finally, please see two other attachments regarding the Take 1 Programme Training which is funded by the Department of Education. Significant numbers of our schools have already availed of this training which is hosted online after school and is designed to support schools in embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in learning and teaching as part of a whole school initiative. As part of the DE funding requirements, the principal or deputy principal must be in attendance with any other staff participants, to avail of training. There is also some limited capacity for the facilitator to deliver an in person session where schools would prefer a whole staff session.
