ACCS Education Conference kicks off in Kinsale

Our Education Conference kicked off this morning in Kinsale, Co. Cork, where we are being hosted by Kinsale Community School under the guidance of its Principal, Fergal McCarthy.

The ACCS Education Conference is one of the most important events in the annual ACCS Continuous Professional Development calendar. The theme of this year’s conference is based on the twin transitions of sustainability and digitalisation and how these interact at school level.

Following a proposal from the Education Sub-Committee, ACCS made the decision to host the conference in one of the schools. We were delighted to invite colleagues to Kinsale Community School which agreed to host the event. We hope that this is just the beginning for the new approach and that other schools will consider hosting the conference in future years. School visits are one of the best ways of sharing practices and initiatives and offer many different learning opportunities for visiting colleagues. Old Bawn Community School and Scoil Phobail Bhéara are also sharing their experiences and learnings today.
