Invitation for Chairpersons, Principals, Deputy Principals and Coordinators of Special Classes to attend an ACCS Webinar on the feasibility of introducing a special class in August 2021 or in August 2022.
ACCS has been contacted by schools who are considering opening special classes or are in conversations with their SENCOs about the feasibility of introducing a special class in August 2021 or in August 2022.
To support schools who have committed to opening a special class in August 2021 or August 2022, ACCS is hosting a webinar on Monday, March 22nd from 10.00 am until 11.30am on this topic and interested schools are invited to attend this event. The webinar will include presentations from schools which have established special classes already in situ and a Q&A session. Jim Twohig, ACCS School Building Projects Advisor will be available to offer guidance.
The main area which will be addressed during the webinar will be curriculum & provision (Models of best practice). We will also discuss best practice in relation to admissions and applications, explore issues which may arise and need to be considered in terms of buildings and site provision.
