The Association of Community and Comprehensive Schools is delighted to annouce that Orla Conway has been appointed to the position of Principal for the new Ennistymon Community School, opening in 2023, and the latest member of the ACCS Family.

Orla, currently Principal in Ennistymon Vocational School, is a graduate of the University of Limerick and NUI Maynooth. She was previously an Assistant Principal in Ennistymon as well as being an Associate with the PDST Leadership Team and a former Associate with the NIPT. She taught Business, LCVP, SPHE and also taught children who have additional needs.

Speaking on her appointment as Principal in Ennistymon Vocational School last year Orla commented, “I see this opportunity as both challenging and exciting and I’m really looking forward to working collaboratively with the entire school community to create a positive learning culture for students and staff.”

Ennistymon Community School will be the 97th member of the ACCS Family when it opens next year. The school will cater for 750 post primary pupils on site arising from the amalgamation of the three post-primary schools in the town - Ennistymon Vocational School, Ennistymon CBS and Scoil Mhuire Ennistymon. Ennistymon Primary School - a primary school to cater for five mainstream classes as well as one classroom unit for children with special educational needs - will be co-located on the same site.
