ACCS, on behalf of the Association of Joint Trustees/Patrons of Community and Comprehensive Schools is delighted to invite you to attend the first annual general meeting of this organisation. The meeting is scheduled to take place on the 1st of March 2023 in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Dublin Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath from 9.30a.m. - 1.15p.m.

This event is intended for Trustees/Patrons of Community and Comprehensive Schools and their agents/representatives and as such represents one of the most comprehensive and wide-reaching patronage events in Irish post primary education. Its inaugural seminar took place on the 26th of February 2019 when the organisation, AJP was officially launched and replaced its predecessor the National Trustee Forum (NTF) which had been in place since 2003. On that occasion, Maire Céline Clegg, IBVM finished her opening address with the following words: 

“Awareness, advocacy, and action are now required and must be exercised in a robust, collective and collegial manner if the Community & Comprehensive sector is to lay foundations of hope for future generations while actively acknowledging the legitimacy of a plurality of schools within the system. The words of Archbishop Diarmuid Martin are relevant here: All the agents of education in Ireland are called to foster relationships of respect, tolerance and welcome in such a manner as to build a respectful pluralist model of education for a new pluralist Ireland.”
