1     Important SEC Reminder - Portal Completion, Important for Students to Complete the Process in Advance of the Deadline.

The SEC has issued the following reminder:

Students have only 2 days left to record their Leaving Certificate choices on the Candidate Portal. It is essential that all students complete the registration and subject selection process before the deadline of Tuesday 16 March at 6 pm. Any student who has registered but not made their subject specific selections should arrange to do so without delay. Remember, the process is not complete until you have received the email from the SEC with details of your subject specific selections from the SEC. Students are urged to not leave this important process until the last minute.

The schools might want to offer some assistance with this process and if so suggest  any student in need of assistance with completing the process or making their decisions should ask their teacher/contact the office for advice.

2     Candidate Self-Service Portal Step by Step Video Guide.

Please see link below to a Candidate Self-Service Portal (CSSP) Step by Step Video Guide which has just been published and will be circulated to schools. The content of the video mirrors that of the CSSP 'Before You Start' Guide published earlier in the week.

3     SEC Accredited Grades - the Only Contingency Arrangement Available for Students.

Students should be reminded the only contingency arrangement available to students who, for any reason, cannot sit Leaving Certificate examinations in 2021 is SEC Accredited Grades. On this basis all students should be encouraged to accept an SEC Accredited Grade in all subjects for examinations where available.
