Increases to non-teaching staff and pensioners – DE Circular 0066/22

Please find attached recently issued Circular 0066/2022 “Revision of salaries of School Secretaries and School Maintenance Staff in Community and Comprehensive Schools under Building Momentum – A New Public Service Agreement 2021-2022”.

The Department of Education has confirmed that the 4th instalment of the Non Teacher Pay Grant, which should be lodged to school accounts this week, includes funding to cover the application of the following increases to non-teaching staff and pensioners:

·     The 11-month cost of the additional 3% pay increase with effect from 2nd February 2022, as well as

·     The 3-month cost of the 1% increase payable from October 1st.

Funding to cover revisions to the lump sums paid to those that retired since 2nd February will be made available as soon as possible.
